This policy explains what personal data the Pacingo mobile app and this website ("Pacingo") collect, why, and what your rights are. Pacingo is operated by Canberk Zor (Türkiye). Questions: [email protected].

1. Data we collect

• Account: email address, first and last name, username, your password (stored only as a hash). If you sign in with Google, the name, email and profile details Google shares with us.
• Profile: an optional profile photo and bio, and whether your account is private or public.
• Your trip content: trips, days, cities, activities, flight/hotel/restaurant/car rental/transport entries, notes, expenses, photos you upload, comments, likes, saved trips and people you follow.
• Place searches: the text you type when searching for a city or place, and the location of the selected day's city (its centre). We do not collect your phone's GPS location.
• Feedback: comments and suggestions you send from the app.
• Technical logs: server logs for security and debugging (request time, endpoint, error codes). We do not collect advertising IDs.

2. How we use it

• To create your account, verify sign-ins and reset your password (by email code).
• To store and show your trip plans and share them as you choose.
• To suggest restaurants, hotels and sights for your city.
• To keep the app secure and detect abuse and errors.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

3. Shared content

New trips start as private drafts that only you can see. If you publish a trip or create a share link, its content (including photos) can be seen by other users or anyone with the link. Your profile, username and published trips are visible to other users if your account is public.

4. Service providers

We use these services to run Pacingo; each receives only what it needs to do its job:

• Google (Places API, Sign in with Google): city and place search, and Google sign-in. Place searches go through our server; your account details are not sent to Google.
• Resend: sending verification and password-reset emails.
• Our hosting and storage provider: the infrastructure where data and photos are stored.
• GeoNames: the list of cities (CC BY 4.0). None of your data is sent to it.

Some providers may process data outside Türkiye. We do not share your data with anyone else unless required by law.

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account or ask us to, your personal data and content are deleted or anonymized within a reasonable time, except where the law requires us to keep it.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, and request a copy of it (under Turkish KVKK and, where applicable, the GDPR). You can edit your profile and deactivate your account in the app. To have your account and data fully deleted, email [email protected]; we reply within 30 days.

7. Security

Passwords are stored hashed, sessions are protected with expiring tokens, and server access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach occurs we will notify you as the law requires.

8. Children

Pacingo is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. We will announce significant changes in the app or on this page; the date at the top shows the latest update.
